And they’re off. There is a whole group bunched together on the Grand National course… Hang on they have forgotten their horses.
PE Pipelines Managing Director, Paul Evans is leading the way with the company’s fundraising for local charity Blessing in Disguise. On Sunday the world’s most famous racetrack will be home to runners completing 5,000 metres, 10,000 metres, and half-marathons.
Paul Evans is galloping around Aintree as part of a goal to raise £5,000 for the local charity. They have already exceeded their target for Wigan charity, Blessing in Disguise, which provides a free service for terminally ill, disabled, disadvantaged children, young people, and their families.
The fundraiser has become a family affair for Paul. Brothers Richard and Andrew with be running the 10,000 metres along with Paul’s partner Jane. Paul’s upset that so far he has been slower than his two brothers and sibling rivalry will see him step up on the day.
“It is important we raise as much money as we can for this vital local charity,” said Paul. “They need our support.”
Katie Holt, Trustee Director for Blessing in Disguise said: “We are here because individuals and companies continually support us. We are very grateful to Paul and the PE Pipelines staff, who have come up with several fundraisers. Blessing in Disguise creates a positive focus on enabling freedom to enjoy treasured memories to share with family and loved ones and provide a range of life-enhancing experiences.”
